    1. 3.5 stars This is a gentle, quiet story about a village curate and a country gentleman and I quite liked it It s a pleasant, light Regency romance It s fairly short and I wished it could have been a bit developed, but it was very nice, in that lovely Charlie Cochrane way There is a very pleasant ghost as well.

    2. The main thing keeping this from getting all five stars is that I wish there had been Cochrane has a witty and subtle style, and I really enjoyed this little story, but I wanted time with the characters, time spent on the development of their relationship, time spent with them as they figure out their place int he world It is, however, a fine little historical romance and an enjoyable read.

    3. I m already a fan of this author love her Cambridge Fellows series and this one didn t disappoint It was a light read with great characters and easy to imagine the time period from the characters and descriptions I liked the plot twist that gave Willliam and Benjamin the shove they needed Nicely romantic, just the way I like it.Definitely one I d recommend.
