I feel like the first sentence of the summary on the back of the book is a bit spoilerish but good as a TW Bc I knew that was coming, I was able to easily predict when it was going to happen in the story Still a very fast and enjoyable read but like with all of McDaniel s books, I wish they were longer.

I have always loved Lurlene McDaniel books and this one was no different It really hits close to home for me because a month ago my best friend killed herself and I ve been having a tough time dealing with it I have had many of the same thoughts and questions that Shannon had about her father and really there is no way of knowing the truth I m glad Shannon had her mother and grandmother because I was worried she was going to keep it all inside and that is never healthy It would just eat at her I [...]

I spent a rainy afternoon lost in this book and enjoyed it so much This book does what every really good book does, it pulls you into the story and keeps you turning the pages I wiped tears, laughed out loud and I spent a few minutes remembering a Young Love from my teenage years I also grieved with the family over the loss of A Good Man This book deeply touched my heart and I m so glad I read it.

The book was about a family in the horse business The parents got a horse for their daughter on her birthday for horse shows The father is acting different but the family doesn t think much about it The mother and daughter head of to a horse show for a weekend When they get home she finds her husband dead in his office after he killed himself The daughter needs to decided if ah will ever go to horse shows again.

    11. This book was really good I really enjoyed reading it It was so powerful and heartwarming I felt so bad for Shannon and her after the death of the dad Lurlene did a great job with his book.
