    1. I found this book predictible and slow moving I have enjoyed his Tennis Shoe series books, but didn t find much imagination in this one.

I appreciated this novel of a man who is self absorbed, focused on his own needs and his career aspiractions, as is true for too many of us His opportunity to reflect and reconsider comes, for him in time to salvage happiness Unfortunately, for too many that reflective time comes too late I have spent a good portion of my career studying work family balance and conflict, and have come to greatly appreciate the decisions a man must make that may lead to less success in career as defined by the wo [...]

    4. i just reread this last night yes, the entire short thing and enjoyed it a little cheesy, but it was nice reading it from a completely different perspective than i did 10 years ago, now that i am married and trying to start a family and all it was very good and interesting to see who i truly related to this time around.

This terrific book kept me up at night It s short and fast paced, plus it s tense as well as surprising I loved the emotion I felt and at times wondered why the family didn t leave sooner, because I would have Still, it was a great plot and a well written book, as are all of Heimerdinger books Love this writer Also, I understand this book is now out in audio

    6. I guess I thought this was a little interesting and it DID have a nice ending It was a little depressing to me, too But I was sad as I was looking online to see the problems the author has had It disillusioned me.
