    1. Gigi Fitzgerald has relocated to Woodstone, Connecticut where she prepares meals for people working to manage their weight She calls her business Gigi s Gourmet De Lite and she is hoping to expand by making a deal with a local food manufacture Just when her business seems to be looking up a horrible piece of bad publicity could mean the end of her dreams One of her customers, a local restaurant reviewer named Martha, dies after an allergic reaction while eating one of the meals prepared by Gigi [...]

    2. I picked this book up right after reading Murder Unmentionable by Meg London, because Allergic to Death is actually written by the same author under a different name , and I had really enjoyed Murder Unmentionable I found that I really loved this book too The setting is a small upscale town in CT, and the main character is always cooking since she owns a healthy meal delivery service Along the way she adopts a Westie named Reg, whom I loved, and there are two very different and interesting love [...]

    3. Didn t always hold my attention, and I set it down a few times, but overall I enjoyed it Pretty good for first in a series I ll definitely read the next in the series.

    4. I loved this first book I can t wait to read the next in the series It is such a shame though that it is only 3 books long.

    5. This is pretty standard cozy mystery fare The main character is okay, but breaking into the victim s property to find key evidence was taking it a bit far, as was the random bequest at the end which solved all of the main character s worries about her house there was no logical reason for that, either In addition, the inevitable protagonist detective are we going to have a relationship type bits felt staged All in all, it just didn t work for me.

    6. Gigi Fitzgerald has left a disastrous marriage and left The Big Apple and moved to Woodstone, CT In this little idyllic little community she starts Gigi Gourmet De Lite, where she prepares three meals a day for the calorie conscious customers.Gigi is dropping off the lunches for her clients at the local playhouse They winding up rehearsals for their latest production One of Gigi s customers is Martha Bernhardt, a restaurant reviewer, who Gigi hopes will like her meals to provide a very positive [...]

    7. Not a bad first outing or first book in a series Not great though either I suffered through an immediate introduction in the first chapter of almost all the suspects, which made the first third of the book a bit of a bear, trying to remember who was who and keeping them from running together in my head There was a bit not a lot of calorie counting that felt a bit unhealthy to me Obviously, calorie counting is part of the protagonists job, but a few times when not doing her job, it s mentioned Al [...]

    8. What a cute book New to me author Peg Cochran writes lightly and entertainingly The story was plausible, and I was kept guessing until the very end I was close but didn t guess the right murderer The main characters are friendly and amusing, with just the right amount of curiosity I was amazed at the tediousness of Gigi s job starting her own gourmet diet food business She no sooner finished cooking, packaging, and delivering breakfast to her clients than she had to start on lunch prep What a to [...]

    9. When I started reading this book I didn t think I was going to like it The writing struck me as wonky and I wasn t warming up to the characters Midway through the book, though, I started liking them and the mystery was pretty good I did not have the murdered on top of my list, and I enjoyed the side stories Gigi is trying to run a cook for you diet meal program I do not know how she can handle 3 meals a day, with deliveries, but she seems to handle it fine The local newspaper reviewer suffers an [...]

    10. Gigi Fitzgarald has brought a new diet plan to Woodstone with her business Gigi s Gourmet De lite She makes 3 meals a day for her clients With Martha Bernhardt, a restaurant reviewer, as her newest client she just knows her business is going to grow as her clients lose some inches When Martha drops dead after eating one of Gigi s meals things just go nuts Seems Martha had a peanut allergy and there were traces of peanut oil in her last meal.Gigi know she didn t drizzle any peanut oil anywhere ne [...]

    11. Super cute mystery with some lovely recipes shared at the end of the mystery Food throughout as the main character, Gigi, is the owner of Gigi s Gourmet De Lite Gigi creates low calorie, but definitely delicious sounding, meals to her dieting clients One of her clients dies after eating one of Gigi s meals and Gigi knows it s sabotage since the death was due to a known peanut allergy This is what makes a cozy appealing to me, that the main character is naturally drawn into solving the the myster [...]

    12. The premise of this new series is a good one An owner of a gourmet controlled calorie catering company, Gigi Fitzgerald is new to Woodstone, CT She moved there upon recommendation by her best friend, Sienna, who owns a book store, The Book Nook.Gigi loves her little cottage she lives cooks in She loves her clients, well almost all of them, and she has large dreams for the future UntilWhen Martha Bernhardt dies from an allergic reaction to peanut oil, that Gigi knows she didn t put on her food, w [...]

    13. This is the first in a series and I really enjoyed it I will definitely look for others in the series.Gigi runs her own Gourmet Diet Meal business after moving to a small upscale Conneticut town after a divorce One of her clients dies from anaphalctic shock after having peanut oil on her food Gigi knows she did not ute peanut oil, so assumes someone killed her The police closed the case as an accidental death, but Gigi will not give up This could ruin her business She ends up adopting a Westie n [...]

    14. Gigi is a really cool character She has some great friends and a business that she can be proud of.She helps people get healthier and feel better about themselves.I really hope that Gigi and Mertz have the opportunity to get to know eachother better, I think that they could be a really great couple if they take the time to give it a chance.I am really glad that everything worked out in the end.

    15. A nice cozy with a somewhat different twist This time the protagonist amateur sleuth provides a service of preparing delicious but healthy meals which she delivers to her clients Those who aren t cheating do manage to lose weight Unfortunately one of her clients is murdered and it looks as though she is guilty so she has to find the killer to redeem herself.

    16. This is a great first book in a new series I ve never read anything by Peg Cochran, so I wasn t sure what to expect Now I know to expect a great and easily enjoyable read with each new book in the series Can t wait for the next one to come out.

    17. This book was stupidly annoying She adopts the dog of the murder victim, and mentions him twice The characters also aren t very interesting, and the speech is very uppity and unrealistic.

    18. Loved the food references in this bright mystery which has a great Happy Ever After Ending with a bit of a twist Peg Cochran cooks up a great tale about Gigi, the cook starting over again in a small town who is running a catering business supplying individual meals to people wanting to lose weight If you like to cook there are plenty of references to meals cooked, and you can smell the basil and garlic The plot runs smoothly and altogether the book reads like the work of a pro which of course Pe [...]

    19. Good first entry in the series I liked the small town setting, based in my home state I thought the mystery was good, although there were quite a few characters to try and keep track of I will continue with this series.

    20. Unlikeable characters Too much description Annoying Pollyanna main character One is enough in this series Actually too much.

    21. It wasn t bad, but the focus on weight loss kind of annoyed me I d read something different by this author, just not this series.

    22. Gigi Fitzgerald, owner and chef of Gigi s Gourmet De Litediet meals is starting out in a new town with a new business She hopes to attract enough business to buy the charming cottage she lives and works in If all her client cheat on their diets though, she won t get anywhere After delivering meals to the Woodstone Theater, Gigi accompanies restaurant critic and part owner of the theater Martha Bernhardt to pick up her meal in Gigi s car When Martha returns to her own car she discovers her purse [...]

    23. The idea of this first cozy by Peg Cochran is very practical and timely Gigi runs a delectable gourmet diet food catering business where she prepares delicious whole fresh foods for her clients every meal Unfortunately, someone used her delivery service to manage to murder one of her clients Even though the death is deemed accidental , death of a customer is never a selling point for this type of service The only reasonable thing GIgi feels she can do, is find out for herself what really happene [...]

    24. Allergic to Death is the first book by Peg Cochran that I have read but it will surely not be my last This is a richly written, whodunit located in my favorite State of CT so it already gets extra points in my book Coupled with young entrepreneur whose very success is threatened by the untimely demise of very one self centered vindictive restaurant and theater reviewer, Martha BernhardtGigi, an aspiring and talented owner of Gigi s Gourmet De Lite,I mean, how perfect to be situated in a gentrifi [...]

    25. Gigi Fitzgerald is the owner of a small business called Gigi s Gourmet De Lite She provides low calorie conscious meals to clients throughout the day who are hoping to shed a few pounds She s excited when Martha Bernhardt signs up to receive her meals Martha is the local restaurant reviewer and could possibly help spread the word and generate clients with a glowing review The problems start when Martha goes into anaphylactic shock after taking a bite of Gigi s prepared lunch Gigi is determined [...]

    26. Wondering may occur that I am reading the second book despite my review I see potential in this author, but the first book has a lot of bugs and a few annoyances that did not make it a 3 star book for me The transitions from one scene to another were choppy, and some of the story line was clunky as well, but it is the first book by this author, her first ever, so I am trying to be objective here I felt that the motive was a little silly but again I am taking the fact that this her first book tha [...]

    27. ALLERGIC TO DEATH has a great premise Gigi prepares gourmet diet food and delivers three meals a day to her clients, one of whom dies of a peanut allergy Although the death is ruled an accident, Gigi fears for her reputation, since her food brought on the fatal attack Many of the characters are preparing for the re opening of their neighborhood theater with the help of a director and an actress who had both worked on Broadway Peg Cochran has devised a great plot, although the red herrings were n [...]

    29. I enjoyed this book, for a first in the series it kept a fairly steady pace There were times the story seemed a little disjointed but I liked the characters so much that I could overlook it easily Gigi is likeable and trying to get here busisness of delivering low calorie food to customer I really like this unique base but while confident shows touches of insecurity There are 2 possible love interests, Gigi says she has no interest this I find annoying but then shows all signs to the contrary I [...]
