    1. I am one of those visual people who happened to do sketchnoting before discovering that it IS a thing Stumbling upon this book, the website, community and podcast etc has been exhilarating, to say the least I love that this book breaks things down for others, who perhaps are not as familiar with sketchnoting, to learn to do the magic.I have to say my favourite parts of the book were the guest spreads done by various sketchnoters love that they are dotted in between chapters, love how their style [...]

    5. Sketchnotes are rich visual notes createed from a mix of handwriting, drawings, hand drawn typography, shapes, and visual elements like arrows, boxes lines.Capture big ideas rather than every last detail Keys simple, clear, fun Everyone s sketchnotes are unique and students sketchnotes will reflect their own styles Doesn t matter if you can draw Did you draw as a kid Everything you want to draw can be drawn with circle, square, triangle, line, dot Tip One sketchnoter draws heart balloons over al [...]

    6. This is my new, best, and only way of take notes during class My weakness in school is daydreaming, I am really good at it, I can even copy what the teacher is writing from the board to my notebook and not realize it until the I reach the end of the page My mind being somewhere else Same thing with audio books, my mind just cancels out the sound to think about something else and before I know it I am on Chapter 7, but could not tell you the name of the main character for a hundred dollars Sketch [...]

    7. Picked this book up mostly to improve my flipchart skills I do a lot of workshops trainings using flipchart only improve the book summary notes I try to create to help me think and process booksSo far I have very limited visual sketchnoting skills I have watched a video tutorial from Sunny Brown on sketchnoting and also been using the awesome bikablo serier for a few months From this book I got many examples from different people s sketchnotes Also some guidelines and tips, including on what pen [...]

    8. Very easy to read, somehow inspiring with some clever advice on note taking Nothing truly new or mind opening, but anyway worth reading since it emphasises key points to keep in mind such as not trying to capture everything focus on the essentials , use metaphors, apply design principles for highlighting and readability typography, contrast, grouping, margins, white space.I think the author pays too much attention to the use of typography Quite too often it looks like merely decorative, getting [...]

    9. For this book review I will simply share my final Sketchnote of key ideas as well as my review I don t think the author would want a review any other way than to see this great book put into practice This has become my new obsession My sketchnote review can be found here coffeeforthebrain coffeechIf you cannot figure it out, I loved this book and it has helped to challenge my thinking and finding key ideas.

    10. While this book was a helpful guide in the process of sketchnoting and provided many ideas for how to get started, I found the author wrote in a Do it how you like, but my method is the best method and the only method you should follow way This was somewhat frustrating because the methods taught had a certain bias to them, and in general I wasn t fond of the author s sketchnoting method I have ideas now, but I don t think I needed this book.

    11. Kinda love hate relationship with this book I really like the design and style of the book It is a very easy read and the instruction is ok It is a little heavy on how the author discovered the process, when it _ something most visual thinkers do Also, it repeats chunks of information in slightly different ways.

    12. I never thought of me as creative or able to doodle stumbled on this and been attracted to it being a really visual person I loved it It really did give me confidence to grab pen and paper and start doodle I have already seen the difference it makes to my notes for a few class I follow Totally convinced of the power of the doodle and embracing doing sketchnotes.

    13. Loved the concept and have greatly enjoyed implementing it in my own note taking I was very excited to read this book, but it really could have been about 20 pages instead of 200 The content is extremely repetitive So, great concept, but it was really stretching it to make it into a 200 page book.

    14. Rohde has some good ideas that I will be incorporating into how I work I especially recommend the video edition because I got a lot out of seeing him work live, but it s a pain that you have to create an account to watch the work and then are not allowed to download All said, worth the trouble

    15. Fantastically accessible and just plain lovely to look at introduction to sketchnoting a visual notetaking technique Worth a look for artists and non artists alike who are looking for a new way to approach notes.
