    1. I found this book pretty true to form I work on a dementia care ward and see the fluctuating state of mind and capacity that both these patients and their families are forced to endure on a daily, sometimes hourly basis This is sometimes difficult to read, not because of any problems with how it was written or grammatical error this book was beautifully written but simply because I found myself thinking oh, that sounds like so and so that I worked with which made me have to stop and take a break [...]

    2. Whilst I wholeheartedly understand why J Wesley Sullivan wrote My Wife has Alzheimer s, the way in which it was written did not provide insight into how best to deal with an individual suffering from the condition having someone on house arrest and restraining someone to a bed cannot be therapeutic I failed to connect with the writer and with me usually being a very empathetic person I can only put it down to the style in which this book was written which is such a shame Unfortunately I did not [...]

    3. I found this book heartwarming and educational He takes you on both his and Elsie s journey through Alzheimer s and the devastating consequences that it is It was devastating to hear how different social care is in America compared to the UK but thankfully he was able to find a dedicated carer who provided excellent care until the end.The book highlights the importance of respite and adequate support for the patient s main care giver and how the disease affected both of their life s.A must read [...]

    4. This is a very endearing inside look of one husband s dedication to his ailing wife, as her health declines slowly from Alzheimer s It was a quick read, but a good read As a free ebook, I found it far able to draw me in to the story than most free reads would through the entire story, you could feel how much the author, Wes, loved and cherished his life partner, Elsie.

    5. Although this was a book written from the heart , initially it started off well and gave me a useful insight into Alzheimer s But it became very a very tedious and repeatative read about half way through so much so i ended up skimming most of the second part

    6. Such a beautiful story I have worked in health care field many years and I find that this is the hardest thing to seeIt is such a heartbreaking thing for families to face.
