    2. I checked this book out of the libaray, but I liked it so much that I went and bought it from Fun, Fun, Fun The adventures of Eve and Ruby make me laugh.

    3. What I enjoyed most about this book was the setting The descriptions of Eau Claire, Bayfield and Madeline Island, Wisconsin were very familiar and without that I perhaps would not have kept reading to the end The two main characters were well crafted but other details of the story didn t resonate with me It felt like there was not enough editing of unnecessary details For example there were so many references to smoking cigarettes Yes the point was made that it is a nasty and expensive habit but [...]

    4. This is exactly what I want to do move to Madeline Island, or at least Bayfield I have the second one on it s way to my library and am looking forward to continuing the story.

    5. I loved this book Absolutely loved it Yes, I m a bit biased being that I went to college in Eau Claire where part of it takes place and that the author currently lives outside of my hometown, but this was such a fun book It is chock full of strong, independent women, and you gotta love that I d like to think I m a bit like Eve She has a devil may care attitude and is so lucky to have a friend like Ruby So fun and I whipped through it in less than 24 hours Love it when I can do that It was sad ha [...]

    6. I liked the idea of the plot, the focus on the female friendships and the description of the geographies Part way through the book, I became frustrated with the actual details of the characters Their inner and outer voices didn t seem to stay consistent, and that was distracting It also felt like these were female characters written by someone that was using stereotypes of women vs truly being authentic Then I noticed the author was male, and that explained a lot for me The descriptions of Bayf [...]

    7. Fun summer book to read for a few reasons Very likeable characters, good sense of the humerous without going overboard, witty dialogue, good descriptions of the characters and settings and it all takes place at a well known place within a days drive from where I live It adds a little something to the read when I know the places the characters are talking about whether it s a town, an island or a restaurant

    8. I enjoyed this book because much of it took place near my area of Eau Claire and then on to Madeline Island Since I ve also been there I felt I could relate to the setting It s a story of a hairdresser, who sells her shop for a good amount of money and moves with a friend to Madeline Island I like to read Wisconsin authors.

    9.
