    1. topic show This was just lovely A free story from the Love Is An Open Road event, we meet Justin and Trey, the former being a patient, the latter a doctor Only then they re no longer doctor patient, and free to pursue that thing growing between them Except Trey likes to ride his dirt bike, and scuba dive, and Justin thinks that with his heart condition, he can t keep pace compete And he pulls an Edward Cullen. The writing is fabulous Loved the secondary characters who play a huge role in helping [...]

    2. Thank you so much to the author who have participated in this eventI am part of the minority in this one and I wonder if it is also influenced by my mood maybe I should try rereading another time but to me this story doesn t generate the emotional feeling usually promised by the tearjearker tag I agree with one of the readers, Lisa the way that both men struggle to find time to even date or meet face to face due to Trey s working schedule just doesn t give enough groundwork for the kind of solid [...]

    3. Great story about a doctor who starts a relationship with a young man with a heart condtion Trey is a cardiothoracic resident who meets Justin, an architectural student, during clinic rounds one day Justin isn t afraid to call Trey on his behavior towards his med students, and it piques his interest in Justin Trey bumbles his way through conversing with Justin while they are out and about, but luckily, with help from his friends Shane and Shaylene, he learns a graceful way to converse They clic [...]

    4. I was hoping to enjoy this than I did based on other reviews but I found the story lackluster and boring Even the dialogue seemed forced and I never felt the connection between the main characters I do appreciate the author contributing to this year s event however and I d try something else from her in the future Sadly this one just didn t hit the spot with me

    5. I struggled with this one For a short story, it seemed to drag they were always missing each other because of schedules and this went on for what felt like two thirds of the story The melodrama came a few short chapters to the end and we then quickly arrive at a neatly packaged HFN I didn t feel there was enough development within the relationship, which made it hard to connect empathise with the MC s, it would ve made the drama heartfelt, instead it felt rushed and unrealistic Sadly, did not e [...]

    6. This was a light, feel good read Trey is a cardiothoracic resident, Justin an architectural student Trey meets when he comes in for prophylactic treatment related to his rheumatic heart condition.I liked the medical setting, which felt authentic The secondary characters added nicely to the story The relationship built at a slow pace, and the conflict resolved was fairly well supported, with Trey s interests and Justin s diagnosis The climax happened quickly, when it came, with a hopeful ending.

    7. I enjoyed reading this It certainly was dramatic, and there was buildup than actual relationship This was dictated by the prompt, so it delivered perfectly The supporting characters were great as well.

    8. Actual rating 3.5 Stars view spoiler It s about Trey, a cardiothoracic surgeon, and Justin, a patient with a chronic heart disease They, of course, met each other at the hospital where Trey works and Justin usually has his check ups They met several times at a coffee shop, then at the market, around the hospital neighborhood, before they decided to hit it off.It all started great, the relationship is solidly built It even ended fine, with happy endings Around the middle though, Justin s attitude [...]

    9. view spoiler hide spoiler I couldn t connect to this story The plot, the characters and their dynamics I didn t feel them at all I just ended up rolling my eyes all the time and waiting for the story to end so I can mark it read It took me 2 days to finish it that says enough br br

    10. 3.5 rounded up because it made me smile This was a feel good read There is some angst and some stupidity involved there are men involved so how could it be different but it was also sweet and romantic.

    11. Trey is a an doctor meets Justin is a worker in the hospital who has an heart condition they meet when try is assigned as his doctor. They form an friendship and they sort of start dating but busy schedule don t go well Things happen along the way how will things turn out for them.

    12. Sweet romance, brillant writing, just the right amount of medical jargon to not get me confused although I have a good knowledge, I dislike being bogged down and that didn t happen here Topped it all off with a lovely HEA Perfect.

    13. This was very sweet and loving While the relationship was very slow progressing, it was so worth the wait.

    14. Nice story but the feels didn t hit me I felt detached from the characters, didn t feel their connection.

    15. I really liked this story, the characters and the romance Nice interpretation of the photo and the story letter Thank you Katherine Halle for donating your story, your time and your talent.
