    1. This series is so much fun, it takes me away to exotic places that I have not visited This time, the girls are in Rio de Janeiro, dancing at the Copacabana Hotel The story is told by Pat, and all I can say is, poor Pat Full of twists and turns, and lots of suspenseful moments, this book kept me reading until I finished it I love the descriptions of Rio, they made me think I was there The great and beautiful areas, and the not so good ones Add in some cats, some wonderful tours, excellent food, a [...]

    2. Bossa Novas, Bikinis and Bad Ends by Mary McHugh is the 4th book in the Happy Hoofers Mystery series There are five Happy Hoofers Pat, Tina, Mary Louise, Janice, and Gina, who are all in their 50 s Each book is told through the eyes of a different hoofer, and this book is told by Pat, as they travel to Rio de Janeiro to perform at the Copacabana Palace When the first dead body is found, the mystery begins I really enjoy this series, but was disappointed with the last book This is the best book i [...]

    3. The Happy Hoofers fly into Rio De Janeiro for a week of dancing and a fun vacation at a luxury hotel The descriptions of the area are superb and you feel that you are in Brazil with them The girls are having fun both sightseeing and dancing until the death of their tour guide The hotel has a resident pregnant cat that remains Pat of her cat Pat falls in love with one the kittens The book will take on a wild ride through the different areas of the country This is the best book of the series and c [...]

    4. These books just keep getting worse and worse Thankfully this one was devoid of the other books past indiscretions like having a friend meet someone and fall in love on the trip and all the political talk I do love how the author manages to make me feel like I m always in the places described and eating the food they are Too bad that kind of detail doesn t go into the mystery which any 3rd grader could solve.

    5. I don t know why so many of the senior sleuth series have 5 main characters It s too much and none of the characters get developed like they need to in order to make the series really engaging Then there s all the minutiae of each of the multitude of characters and it bogs down the story I enjoy this series just barely enough to keep reading.

    6. Their adventure in Rio Seeing Sugar Loaf Mountain and The Christ over looking Rio Gina being kidnapped by the killer of the 3 people and stealing money from the hotel that Hoofers was staying on them.

    9. A highly unrealistic mystery novel Going into this novel I was under the impression that this was a stand alone novel It is not I believe it is the 4th novel in the Happy Hoofers mystery series The Happy Hoofers are made up of 5 50 women who created their own dance group and now seem to travel the world and dance in hotels Does this happen in real life I would assume celebrity singers dancers would get wined and dined by high end hotels, but a group of 50 year old women In this novel, the group [...]

    11. Princess Fuzzypants here I like the premise of some older ladies kicking up their heels as dancers because my Momma is an old girl too The fact that they dance in some pretty exotic locations and get to see interesting places is also a plus In fact, the descriptions of some of the locations they see are some of the best parts of the books. This time they are dancing in Rio They are in a super expensive hotel and get to see the highlights of the city Pat, the narrator, also gets to see some of the [...]

    18. I love traveling the world with these Happy Hoofers The girls head to Brazil and before their first show there is a dead body This is one of the most fun cozy series to read because the fab 5 are so diverse and easy to love After a visit to a psychic, their tour guide, translator is found dead in her motel room, just like the psychic said When one of their own is kidnapped the ladies worry this may be their last dance Great visiting with the ladies and catching up on their families and adventure [...]

    20. Some of this novel strains credulity, and I really don t want to be anywhere these women travel, but it s nice to read about a group of strong women in their 50s I hadn t read any of the previous books in the series but that wasn t a problem as I was able to slip right into the book You ll like this if you enjoy cozies even if there are a lot of dead bodies with a unique set of characters Nicely written Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

    21. This is a fun read A group of women in their 50 s who met in a dancing class and then dided to form a group to perform Latin dances This book they travel to Rio and stay at the Copacabana to perform several nights Of course one of them stumbles upon a murder and then can t resist to question why she was murdered It s very perplexing for them all and one finds herself in danger Read to find out what happens Also the description of the food and the sights is amazing.

    22. I started this series several books in and that may be why I had such a hard time getting immersed in the story I did like the way the writer wrote and described scenes etc and I will go back to get the other books in this series Thank you to Netgalley and Kensington Books for this free copy and my unbiased opinion.

    23. Great new edition to the series Good, suspenseful story It keeps you hanging till the end of the book The description of the sites in Rio makes me want to go there The food and recipes made me hungry.

    24. Highly entertaining, dramatic, and entirely unlikely Very hard to put down once started with ever engaging characters
