    1. So, um, this was fun to read Like the procrastinator I am, I left this review four months too long and now I gotta remember what it is I wanted to say about this book But, basically I haven t actually had anything to do with the Ghostbusters since I watched the movie several years ago So I requested it on a whim as I know graphic novels comics are really easy to speed through, even if you aren t enjoying it as much Which wasn t the case here, fortunately Ghostbusters International was only about [...]

    2. This book was given in proof form by Netgalley in return for a good review , so in the interests of honesty I did not enjoy it The reasons are manifold, maybe I am too invested in the original form of Ghostbusters, even including the earlier graphic novels and the book versions of The Real Ghostbusters but this one just did not cut the mustard The plot concerns the ghostbusters being hired by a mysterious man who they owe after he rescues them from the UN who have stiffed them on their bill The [...]

    3. Ghostbusters International by Erik Burnham with art by Dan Schoening finds the team on an international trip to hunt ghosts around the globe.Success is a good thing, but it can be too much of a good thing When the team is sought out with an attractive buy out offer, the city steps in and agrees to take all the profits, leaving some of the team a bit disgruntled The new deal sends the team internationally to Venice, then to Paris my review copy only had the Venice portion of the story The hope is [...]

    4. I received this through Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review. So we jump into a story line of the Ghostbusters working on an international basis and honestly, it didn t really stand out for me I ve not read anything Ghostbusters related before, yet have seen the original film, so I m not sure if I was supposed to have read anything before hand They did have footnotes to refer you to other issues, so I assume so Anyway, I did feel like I was missing some thing and couldn t keep up with the [...]

    5. 4 starsHuge thanks to Erik Burnham, Diamond Book Distributors, IDW Publishing and NetGalley for this copy in exchange for an honest review.Love Ghostbusters so this is a perfect read for me, great to see the original characters back doing what they do best, oh the nostalgia The art is wonderful and the story is fun.

    6. This ARC was given to me in exchange for an honest review.I was so excited for this graphic novel The artwork is great, very fitting to the time of the original film modern vibrant colors. The plot goes nowhere.Maybe suitable for children, I need depth in the plot and character progression. The film had some, this had none.

    7. The writing captures all the character and charm with the brilliance of a ghost trap The art is wonderful and the backgrounds will have you hunting for easter eggs many times over The pacing is a little quick and can leaving you wanting , but even still, this is such a fun read.

    8. 2.5 RatingWasn t crazy with how this was drawn Peter and Ray looked the same and I had a hard time figuring out which one was which The story itself was fun, sorta reminded me of the cartoon back in the late 80 s This was entertaining enough, but I struggled with caring about it towards the end I liked the idea of the Ghostbusters going international and the reason for them traveling was realistic.

    9. Disclaimer I received an ecopy via NetGalley for an honest review.First of all, the galley I received only contained the first half of this work That alone didn t impact my opinion on this book, but it was definitely building to something that may have left a better impression than what I was able to read. The Ghostbusters are currently employed full time through the city of New York, handling the various hauntings that pop up After completing a job for the United Nations, they are approached by [...]

    10. I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.I was a big fan of the original Ghostbusters cartoon, and of course the films, growing up Never a hardcore fan, but I enjoyed watching it and the general insanity surrounding it all Likewise, I enjoyed the amount of research effort put into the writing of the films It was cool, seeing paranormal research actually put to good use Luckily, I got to enjoy at least a bit of research coming to the forefront of this book Unf [...]

    11. More reviews and no fluff on the blog surrealtalvi.wordpress I greatly enjoyed Ghostbusters International The dialogue was snappy and very true to the characters The illustration work is distinct and while not all will like it, I felt it conveyed the character tics perfectly Really, the only downside is that this felt like a prequel not much happens and there is far too much set up to satisfy We get one monster fight, quickly dispatched, and it is over.Story An intriguing foreigner comes with a [...]

    12. Ghostbusters International by Erik Burnham et al is a free NetGalley e comic that I read in mid April. On the surface, this seems like an outstanding idea the Ghostbusters traveling worldwide to capture the world s most terrifying ghosts, starting with Italy and a ghost that resembles a plague doctor Yet, somehow, they transform the faces of the Ghostbusters into looking similar to Balou and King Louie of Disney s The Jungle Book and Janine into looking like Judy Jetson if she lives exclusively o [...]

    13. Oh this takes me back The animated Ghostbusters was a regular part of my cartoon diet The way the guys are drawn in this comic threw me at first Very different from the cartoon Very stylized Once I got used to it, was like olden days The characters were spot on as I remember them I was laughing again and again at Venkman s quips Hard not to love dialogue like this Ease off Venkman, most people can t handle a 500 foot column of ghosts popping up right in front of them This appeared to be a compil [...]

    14. I just was not impressed with this work First of all, the artwork was horrible I did not like the style at all All of the characters had strangely pointy facial features Janine was rendered just absurdly ugly and weird looking And I couldn t ever tell Peter and Ray apart. The story seems to begin in the middle of a plot in motion There were several characters that it seemed we were supposed to know, but I didn t have a clue as to who were they The scene of negotiating the international deal was s [...]

    15. I received a digital copy of Ghostbusters International in exchange for an honest review I was looking forward to reading this one as I am a fan of the franchise, including some GH comics Unfortunately, I was a bit let down.My main issue is very subjective, so you may have a different opinion For me, the style they went with wasn t my favorite It was a little rough looking and most importantly it didn t give me a Ghostbusters vibe I did like the Plague Doctor ghost design though. If the writing a [...]

    16. I d heard from at least one friend that the current run of Ghostbusters comics was worth a look, the sort of licensed material that uses the freedom of a niche medium to go wild while still being suffused with love for the original And perhaps for the real hardcore fans of the cartoon as well as the films , this works better or maybe the problem is that while this looks like a first volume there are clearly already plots in play from previous stories Either way, for me it felt like an acceptab [...]

    17. Following on with the policy now used by this publisher on netgalley, of bringing the proof to us without the final single issue comic being finished or included, we get three quarters or, according to , half a 120pp book of a story that s completely disposable There is a sort of bad human introduced to things, but the tale that follows, of the investigators being sent to Venice s islands and finding well, ghosts, duh isn t up to much at all, and really didn t look like improving, whatever fract [...]

    18. What to do when an international businessman tries to buy the Ghostbusters Well, the NYC liaison works out a deal that basically rent the team out But with Egon out due to an injury, the team is caught short in trying to clear a Venetian island of a very strange spirit Will the team ever find out what conspiracy they are being sucked into The reader will just have to wait for the next volume

    19. I dont usually get into graphic novels, but being a fan of the movie, I figured that I could give this a shot This is certainly a good edition with a good plot line as well as good artwork To me, those cannot be mutually exclusive in a graphic novel You cant have one without the other They have to work together to keep your attention make your brain work together with your eyes.

    20. It was really hard to get past the terrible art It s really awful The story has promise The Ghostbusters are now being monitored by a new organization headed by Walter Peck William Atherton from the movie He hires them out to a CEO who sends them to Europe to exorcise ghosts haunting potential resort areas.Received an advance copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

    21. I am a fan of Ghostbusters I have seen the movies except the new one which I am looking forward to and also watched the cartoons many times as a kid I was excited to see this graphic novel, but it is too new for me I liked it as it was but understand that this is probably for new readers versus older fans like me I did like the story.

    22. I have been a fan of The Ghostbusters since I was a kid When I saw this comic at my local comic book shop, I knew I had to pick it up I thought this series would incorporate the new franchise, which is did not, but I still loved that it was about the ghostbusters Quick read, and an interesting story Really enjoyed the graphics.

    23. This title is what it says it is, Ghostbusters International Do you want to see your favorite ghost catchers unravel a mystery far away from home Call the Ghostbusters Anyway, the characters were well written, however, this title takes place in a bigger Ghostbusters comic universe, so it s a bit tricky just to jump into But for me, any chance to see the gang is worth it, so pick this up

    24. I think this is the first Ghostbusters graphic novel I have read It was great reading the adventure of the original team Great banter between them all The graphics help tell the story beautifully.

    25. The ghost busting guys have gone international A great addition to the Ghostbusters stable with excellent graphics.Recommended.I was given a digital copy of this book by the publisher Diamond Book Distributors via Netgalley in return for an honest unbiased review.

    26. I received a copy of this graphic novel through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.Wow, this is fun What a great way to continue the Ghostbusters adventures An international mysteries ghosts in Venice I can t wait to see what happens next.

    27. Solid Ghostbusters story it follows the original Ghostbusters, so that s a plus, it s rather short, and leaves you on a cliffhanger But I am interested to see what happens next.I Received An Advanced Copy Of This From NetGalley And The Publisher.
