    1. Okay this was pretty awesome And I m not even a DC fan so THAT IS SAYING A LOT But this book was like 99% epic badass women and all I can think of is why do we have 52 supermans and batmans AND NO POISON IVY FRANCHISES This would look so great on a screen, with all the planets growing and ripping people s heads off and all that fun stuff niceAnd I liked that the comic was actual on the grittier side Lots o murder Ivy was ready to smash chauvinist heads in BLOOD WAS SHED alsoniceAnd Ivy is pretty [...]

    2. Cycle of Life and Death is so shitty it s only fit for compost no wonder Poison Ivy s never had a solo title before Because she has to for this book, Ivy s suddenly gone straight and gotten a job as a plant researcher at the Gotham Botanical Gardens but then her colleagues start dying Oh noooo, could it be her or could it be some crap Scooby Doo esque villain The answer will make you fill your pants with boredooooommmmm This is a bad whodunit largely because there s barely any time spent on tryi [...]

    3. Ivy is one of my faves, and we rarely get to see her doing anything these days, she has just somehow become a sidekick to a sidekick, so finally she gets her own mini series I did really like this one, even though at times it felt rushed especially the ending, and sticking in loads of characters that really didn t need to be there, just let Ivy have her five minutes in the spotlight The artwork is amazing, the story definitely has its moments it s basically like one of Ivy s cabbage patch babies [...]

    4. Very good So Poison Ivy has her own series, well mini series anyways So the story is that Ivy works at a research lab, her boss is killed who was the only one willing to give Ivy a chance, due to her being a supervillain , and she needs to find out who did it The story was funny in some parts, and was overall very good We also see 3 guest appearances, 2 of them you kinda expect, the last one though at the end, was completely unexpected, I did not see that one coming I guess my only gripe, is tha [...]

    5. Poison Ivy Cycle of Life and Death has its flaws, but damn did it make me feel warm and good after reading I ve read so many disappointing books recently that I ve been in kind of a slump not the best way to end the year, for sure but maybe something fun was what I needed And Poison Ivy s first solo comic miniseries is anything but poisonous It s a light refreshment, or like a break to have a girls night out, complete with a makeover and dancing No alcohol required.I had never really cared for B [...]

    6. Oh man I was super excited about this It s about time Ivy got her own damn series When I was first introduced to the DC World I was instantly drawn to her It totally reminded me of Danielle Panabaker s character in Sky High However I was left feeling pretty disappointed with this one Aside from the art, which was pretty good Any comic with Poison Ivy usually looks spectacular, so I wasn t weary about being visually dissatisfied I really felt like there wasn t a lot of depth to Ivy s character an [...]

    7. I am a huge Poison Ivy fan, she is one of the first comic book characters that drew me in I was so excited when I heard she was going to have her own series and about darn time The other Gotham Sirens already have had their turns The art was wonderful in this series, it just lacks a great story The one that is at play is rushed, and leaves a lot of questions in its wake I had really great hopes for this series and was happy that Ivy had her moment to shine all on her own I just wish she was give [...]

    8. It was fun spending time with a somewhat reformed Poison Ivy I was hoping for Harley Ivy making out, but OH WELL I liked the art, but it occasionally veered a little too pin up for my tastes, and I couldn t figure out why how Ivy would be in regular clothes in one panel then her leaf micromini dress in the next.

    9. 4.5Interesante concepto y algunos plotwist inesperados.Interesante la personalidad de Ivy, y a ver si siguen la trama de las hermanas sporeling

    10. It s common knowledge that Batman features some of the best villains to ever appear in comics Despite being around since the 60 s Poison Ivy hadn t actually got her own comic until this one appeared Poison Ivy is a villain but not necessarily an evil one like chaotic neutral which has plenty of potential to work with.Cycle of Life and Death is a murder mystery by way of sci fi horror which works well in some ways but is incredibly frustrating in others There s a definite feeling that Amy Chu ha [...]

    11. I received this book as a first read giveaway This collection was fantastic Poison Ivy needed her own collection Chu gives Ivy a great new backstory while staying true to the character.

    12. Poison Ivy is a great example of a comic character that can change with the times Initially, Ivy was a one dimensional woman She became this kind of floral sexpot, and a Halloween costume favorite My understanding of the most recent DC lore is that Ivy is of a benevolent eco warrior terrorist interested in taking care of planet through whatever means necessary She has also had a romantic relationship with Harley Quinn I got a little bit of that in Paul Dini s Harley Ivy, but I m not up to speed [...]

    13. I liked this book well enough but it was too short The book seemed rushed about half way through as if there was a deadline to meet If this series was an 8 or 12 part series I think I would have enjoyed it The premise that Ivy creates three kids birthed from the plants that she is constantly tinkering with promises much but the plant children are never given their proper due They are shown as babies and than the book jumps to their teenage years with all the attitude and testing behavior that b [...]

    14. I loved the insight into Ivy s character that I got from this comic Overall it was entertaining and I d definitely continue reading if this was an ongoing series The cameos were great, especially the last one The only downside was the art, not all of it, only the panels where the female characters were drawn in an unnecessarily sexualized way It wasn t as bad as in some other places and it wasn t everywhere but it kept showing up In this case it seemed to work against the writing which did a gre [...]

    15. Poison Ivy has been one of my all time favorite DC characters for as long as I can remember, and I ve been wanting to see her get her own solo series for a long time So it s safe to say that I was really, really stoked for this volume.Unfortunately, it was a little bit of a letdown I get that it s only a six part series, but the story still felt rushed and a bit incohesive at parts, particularly at the end Ivy herself often fell a bit flat for me, lacking her usual charm and the full bite of the [...]

    16. I am a pretty loyal Marvel fan as hard as that is these days but finally gave in to my good friend Danielle and read this Ivy title Of course, she was right She s always right This is a great book to read even if you don t know all that much about Poison Ivy What Danielle FAILED to MENTION is that this is a super short STANDALONE miniseries that apparently will fail to give me the Sporeling spin off series of my DREAMS That evil laugh you hear is definitely hers.

    17. Nice to finally see Poison Ivy as the leading lady, rather than just a villain of the week for Batman or as a member of a bigger ensemble. She s a brilliant scientist, a strong female character and she has a personality relatable to introvert bitches everywhere.Apart from her crime spree, she s a great role model Looking forward to seeing of her and the sporelings.

    18. This was pretty meh for me I wanted to love this because I love Poison Ivy so much I hated that the art switched in the last chapter And there were several places where the story jumps so I felt like I skipped a page It could have been so much better, I thought, but if there s a second one, I want to read it.

    19. I got really into this book partially because it allowed the female characters to exist outside of a male sphere like they are in Batman series I didn t care for how sexualized the characters were for no reason To see a full review check out mibookreviews.wordpress 2

    20. This is my favorite outfit for Poison Ivy by far This really stays true to her character and explores new depths with the introduction of her children Overall very interesting and I m hoping to see this version go a bit further.

    21. This was such a pleasant surprise I loved actually seeing Ivy as a scientist I feel like that gets lost so often and her character becomes hypersexualized instead I really wish this story had continued I would have read it Also, the art was next level, it was amazing.

    22. It s about time Ivy got a solo My favorite villian in the Batman franchise, and it did not disappoint I hope there s book in the future.

    23. Needed content Loved Selina s addition but Harley was pretty much useless.Had potential and some good artwork.

    24. I had high hopes for this story, but it was just a little too meh for me Which is upsetting because I love Poison Ivy.

    25. Honestly, great for a one stop volume Ivy wants to take a break from being a villain, and assumes a role as a plant scientist until a misunderstanding ruins her career.

    26. Poison Ivy, an iconic villain with than 50 years of history, had such an amazing storyline Forever wishing they continued this
