    1. Run of the mill cutesy mystery set amid strip and drag clubs in New Orleans The humor was forced, there were too many characters, and the ultimate resolution of the mystery was not satisfying.

    2. Traci Andrighetti takes readers on another rollicking ride in this latest installment of my favorite cozy mystery series The book opens with a milestone birthday for oft beleaguered cop turned PI Franki Amato She s turning 30 and she s got a bad tooth, a nonna Italian grandmother who s gone into mourning because Franki s now officially a spinster, and a birthday strip o gram on her tail She can t even use a spa gift card without running afoul of the po po But Franki doesn t have time to wallow i [...]

    3. Get ready to laugh until you cry.Traci Adrighetti s, Amaretto Amber is a fast paced, romantic comedy It s the third I ve read in her series and I m totally addicted.Franki Amato is an ex cop who lives in New Orleans and works with her best friend in a private detective agency called Private Chicks Inc Her landlady Glenda is a feisty sixty one year old retired stripper who decorated Franki s apartment with bordello furniture And did I mention she lives across the street from a graveyard Voodoo, e [...]

    4. Franki Amato s 30th birthday gets off to a rocky start when a misunderstanding lands her in jail, her boyfriend s assistant let s her know his job is in jeopardy, largely due to his association with her and she has a sore tooth If that s not enough, she gets a call from Glenda, her landlord and retired stripper, telling her she needs to get down to Madame Moiselle s because an ex stripper was found murdered in a bathtub and Glenda wants Franki to investigate New evidence suggests that this is no [...]

    5. Franki, Veronica, Glenda and Nonna are at it again Turning thirty is a milestone for some folks, including Franki When she stumbles upon the body of a stripper with a love of Amaretto, the adventure begins Will Franki find the killer Will she strip for love Will Glenda bump and grind Is Nonna plotting Franki s marriage and grandchildren You betcha that and even I enjoy the humor, camraderie, general chaos and the adventure in this series Franki is very relatable, like all of us, just trying to [...]

    6. Another fun story about Frankie and the PI business in New Orleans When the strippers and the Nonnas get together there were many laugh out loud moments involving aprons and shawls to name some I also liked the way the PI business, the family visit, and Bradley s bank business all were interwoven in the story I have to say Frankie is unflappable for the most part She seems to take everything in stride despite how she feels inside Really sleeping in the tub with enema bags Facing half naked women [...]

    7. I received Amaretto Amber as an ARC from the author, but I would have gladly paid for it Traci s series just gets better with each installment Frankie Amato s turned 30 with no ring on that finger There s trouble on the horizon with her boyfriend, Bradley, and to top it all off, Nonna and Frankie s mom show up uninvited Add in the murder of a stripper at the club Frankie s aging landlord stripper, Glenda, frequents and you have the makings of a comedy of errors Between having to deal with Glenda [...]

    8. This is a great book this is the third book in the Franki Amato Mystery series byTraci Andrighetti This book can be read as a standalone, but once you read this one you will want to go back and read the other books in this series Franki Amato is a private investigator, who has to investigate a surreal strip club homicide along with her sixtyish ex stripper landlady This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters This book will keep you reading long into the night If you [...]

    9. Hilarious look at the seamier side of New Orleans Strippers, drag queens, voodoo, witchcraft, Italians, Catholics, nonne Italian grandmothers , and will keep you entertained If this is being made into a TV movie, it must be on cable Pasties may be required by the strip club, but not all remain fully clothed at all times I realize I am na ve, but this book is educational I was grateful for the explanation of much of the terminology I feel as if I have just taken a walk on the wild side I won t r [...]

    10. Omg talk about hilarious.Frankie Amato is back and with her PI partner Veronica, her ex stripper landlord Glenda as her investigative sidekick when a stripper is murdered, Glenda asks Frankie for help but that s not everything going on in Frankies life her boyfriend Bradley is having trouble at work and it could all be Frankies fault, then there is the surprise visit from her Mom and Nonna talk about mixed up, messy and just downright funny.Frankie Amato is awesome she is stubborn, sassy and det [...]

    11. I like to read cozy mysteries for the characters as much as I do for the mystery aspect If a series has great characters, I ll stick with it even if the mystery isn t as strong In the Franki Amato series, both the characters and the mysteries are great I love quirky, funny characters and this series is filled with them I also love when I can t guess whodunit until near the end of the book, and this one definitely kept me guessing You could definitely read this book as a stand alone mystery, but [...]

    12. N Awlins Fun What do you get when you mix strippers, drag queens, murder together in N Awlins You get one crazy ride of a story Definitely a laugh out loud book crackling with eccentric oddball characters P.I Frankie Amato is funny, gutsy, determined whether she s solving murders, protecting her boyfriend Bradley, or fending off her one track minded Italian mama nonne Definitely a 5 star read

    13. Life for Franki Amato is eventful She is an Italian American Catholic private investigator who is living in New Orleans working on a new case Dealing with curses, a sixty something ex stripper landlord, murders, voodoo gods, a sugaring business and a surprise visit from her mom and grandma her life becomes unpredictable and crazy This is a fun story that will keep you guessing to the end It is part of A Franki Amato Mystery series but could easily be read as a stand alone.

    14. I love Franki Amatto This is probably the funniest of the series as well Franki has to go undercover at a strip club Not only does she meet strippers, she is immersed in the world of withcraft, voodoo, hoodoo, drag queens, and little Sicilian grandmothers I laughed out loud so much at this book I am not a huge fan of Bradley, but he is a good guy I would start at the beginning of the series and read them in order just for the enjoyment

    15. Traci Andrighetti takes us on a wild ride through New Orleans as Franki hunts down another murder suspect Zany characters abound as Franki s stripper landlady assists her in the investigation, and her mom and grandmother try to take charge of her future Franki s love life may be on the rocks as Bradley s career is put in jeopardy Will the killer be found before it s too late and will Franki and Bradley make it through, or will she walk away

    16. This was an ARC that I received from the publisher I have to say that I would have bought it anyway They keep getting better This is book 3 of the series I love the characters and the setting It s fun and has a good mystery The characters are crazy, it makes for a fast and easy read.

    17. I can understand why Franki Amato is heading for the small Depending on the size of your tv of course screen The series so far has a wonderful cast of characters, a whole lot fun and bucket loads of sass Traci Andrighetti has the amazing knack of putting her heroines foot in her mouth Any writer who can make you laugh like this deserves to be read.

    18. This is a great laugh out loud book that will leave you wanting The characters are a mix of strippers, drag queens and witches set in New Orleans Franki Amato is investigating a murder with the help of her crazy cast of friends and acquaintances She gets herself into crazy situations which remind me of Lucy Arnaz Loved every Franki Amato story and can t wait for the next one.

    19. This series keeps getting better and better I really enjoyed this latest installment, it was very entertaining with lots of twists I received an ARC from the publisher for purposes of an unbiased review.

    20. I really like this series Poor Franki Amato has a very bad start to her 30th birthday She has given up sweets for Lent and has a bad tooth She thinks she may have been cursed This book is an extremely fun read I can t wait for the next one to come out.

    21. This is my favorite Franki book yet How can you not love a book with Franki, Glenda, realitives, strippers and OMG, the Queens I laughed, I cried and yes, I yelled at my ereader, I can t really be the only one Another Fantastic Franki Festivale, thank you Traci

    22. This is a great book The author mentions the witchcraft and voodoo that abounds in New Orleans, took us to a strip club where a murder takes place and has Franki s mother and Nona come for a visit Put all these things together, stir it up, and you have an exciting story.

    23. A laugh out loud whodunit set in New Orleans It s witty, wacky descriptions of the Nonnas and their reactions to the stripper costumes will have you howling It s a walk on the wild side.

    24. So GOOD There is nothing that I didn t like about this book, I LOVED everything I went back to read 1 2 again and I am so glad I did Awesome, awesome book

    25. Review originally published at lomeraniel audiobookreThis is the fifth installment about Franki Amato, a young PI of Italian origin In this book she just turns thirty and her family will put quite some pressure in getting her married as soon as possible In the meantime she will be investigating an extravagant murder occurred in a striptease club.Even though I would not count cozy mysteries among my favorite genres, I like turning to this genre now and then since I find it very refreshing and hel [...]

    26. Franki Amato stared out the peephole of her door at a black feathered wing creature standing on her porch It was her 30th birthday, so she suggested to her terrier that it could possibly be Death but the figure raised a bony, shriveled skin, white hand which was clutching a cigarette holder Nope, it was her landlady, Glenda O Brien The 60 something woman was wearing a black leather micro top, a tutu, and thigh high boots, the stuff of nightmares She had come to acknowledge Franki s birthday When [...]

    27. This review is for the audiobook on Audible The audiobook Amaretto Amber Frankie Amato Mysteries, Book 3 by Traci Andrighetti, narrated by Madeline Mrozek was such a fun book to listen to I laughed over and over Even though it is Book 3 in the series, it was the first one I listened to I don t think that it spoiled anything for me, but I ll find out because I m dying to now listen from the beginning I think the book would also be good to read, but definitely the narration in this one made it so [...]

    28. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes slap stick, Amaretto Amber has found the perfect setting in the amazingly eclectic atmosphere of New Orleans No where else in America is one likely to find someone seriously considering voodoo and witchcraft as the possible cause of death in a murder case Nor is one as likely to find Italian grandmother s side by side with septuagenarian strippers In the midst of this dichotomous hilarity, the search for the killer of an ex stripper is a seriously complex case for [...]

    29. It s her thirtieth birthday, she thinks that she is cursed, and that feeling is borne out by being descended upon by her mother and Italian grandmother hassling her about her unmarried state Then there is a murder at the strip club favored by sexagenarian landlady, and her boyfriend being sabotaged at his bank The publisher s blurb gives hints and clues but can t begin to prepare you for all the situational and verbal humor No spoilers here, but the investigation is so convoluted, and each suspe [...]
