    1. Like most anthologies, this one is a mixed bag I am generally a fan of the Fantastic collections, but this one didn t do as much for me as some of the others I found most of the stories a little predictible and not as entertaining I suspect the book suffered from falling so closely to my reading of The Ladies of Grace Adieu by Susanna Clarke.

    3. An anthology of 19 stories about elves Tall slender elves and small bearded elves, elven Lords and elven layabouts, elves in faerie and elves in our world, fairy tales and fantasy stories There were a couple of weaker stories but on the whole this was an interesting and varied bunch of stories My favourites were A Midsummer Night s Dream Team by Tanya Huff, about a team from Faerie taking on the USA basketball team at the Olympic Games, Eine Kleine Elfmusik by Karen Haber, which concerns a socia [...]

    4. A very mixed bag consisting of a handful of decent short stories and offensively bad short stories, with a few attempts at a novella thrown in Ultimately the problem with stories about elves is that they all sound alike after a while, the good blending in with the bad.Book cull 2014 I Could Be Using This Shelf Space For Something I Like.

    5. A fantasy collection of short stories about elves like most such compilations, some are better than others, and most are very light reading but overall it s been quite enjoyable.

    6. Some good ones, some preachy ones, some bad ones A Midsummer Night s Dreamteam was funny and the world in Jerlayne was intriguing, but Jingles the Elf I d like that five minutes of my life back.
