    1. A Joyfully Jay review 4.25 starsHidden Evils must be read to be fully appreciated and I really did appreciate it Jo Tannah has put together the perfect combination of horror, mythology, sex, romance, and the importance of friends and family. The plot is very engaging I think it was a bold choice of subject matter Horrible atrocities against pregnant women and their babies don t exactly bring about the warm fuzzies However, here in this book, it just works Enough detail was given to make me squirm [...]

    2. This one hit a lot of my buttons, mystery, supernatural beings and magic Even without the author s note I would have known what the villains of the piece were and I don t want to spoil too much of that I will say however, they re inspired from a truly creepy non European folklore, so kudos.Sebastian is a male mid wife, a short handsome man dedicated to helping women through the some times dangerous yet wondrous process of giving birth Orphaned he grew up with aunts and just wait til you meet the [...]

    3. This is a very eerie story At times it was so creepy for me but I couldn t put the story down because I wanted to know what happened next The plot is refreshing because of the paranormal aspect reminded me of old tales and superstitions I guess that part really fed my imagination and simply glued me to my chair. The plot is complex and engaging The characters are well established, complementing the plot in total harmony I know I keep going on about the paranormal side of the story but it was real [...]

    4. First off m m fiction isn t my thing I do enjoy supernatural romances Laurel K Hamilton Hidden Evils I enjoyed I liked having a baddie that I m not familiar with I liked that there was some actual romancing going on I would have liked it longer The book was easy to read The supernatural elements flowed and didn t feel forced or bolted on Sure the main character s honey accepted the weird without much of a struggle I don t want to add spoilers but it had a lot of individual elements that I like a [...]

    5. Hidden Evils is a story that draws from non European folklore, so kudos for that I really liked the story idea and the characters as the plot offered something different from the usual supernatural creatures we see in paranormal romance 3.5 stars.Disclaimer I was involved in the production of this title.

    6. Full review at optimumm 2017 08 27 review hidden evils by jo tannah Sebastian Torres is a midwife, single, and proud owner of 3 dogs He is very dedicated to his job and has no time for dating Well, actually no, he has time for dating, but, without knowing why, every guy he has date the past few years never came back or called after one date.Antony Craig is the chief of the Ob Gyn department and has a huge crush on the sexy midwife Sebastian After 3 years lusting after Sebastian, he finds the cou [...]

    7. This is a really great story It s a contemporary paranormal with a twist of horror The romance and the storyline blend perfectly, neither out doing the other There s just the right amount of suspense and drama, a lovely touch of humour throughout the romance, and some definite awww moments Looking forward to seeing what the author comes up with next.

    8. Spine tingling That is how I would describe this book Sebastian Torres is a midwife, He is also is drawn to Dr Anthony Craig Both men are serious and very career minded One has not had time to pursue romance and one has not dared to take the risk.Pregnant women are dying and the circumstances are terrifying Danger is much closer than anyone suspects and Sabastian unknowingly holds the key to it all This book gave me everything I love in a novel There was not one point in this book that it seemed [...]

    9. From the blurb, I really expected to enjoy this book Urban fantasy medical m m romance these are all genres I read and enjoy Unfortunately, I really didn t enjoy the style of writing I liked the idea of the characters, but they just never fully developed and they never felt real The pacing of the plot felt uneven and I felt there was just too much story for such a short book It may have been a quirk with the ARC that has been resolved, but it seemed that some of the key parts of the mystery were [...]
