    1. this is the 4th in the series.I m not sure what I think about this series The books are good but sometimes i just want to smack Abby for being stupid to put herself in certain situations But then isn t that what happens in most cozies

    2. Once again, a fun lighthearted read With this being the fourth book, though, I wish the main character would get married or at least engaged I want the happily ever after NOW Not another four books later

    3. This was my least favorite of the Candy Shop Mystery series One of my main complaints is Abby s relationship with Jawarski It is just so boring I know that she went through a bad divorce, but I feel like the relationship is dragging on and on and there is no need for it in the series any Either make them official or forget it Also, I felt that that the first half of this book dragged a little I wasn t all that interested in the plot until towards the end when things got juicy I am hoping the ser [...]

    4. This was going to be the make or break book for me although I enjoyed the first three I felt it becoming a little to repetitive and predictable This book changed it up a bit A mean I realize a cozy mystery follows the same line but this book made me excited to read the next

    5. Good foodie cozy mystery I like the characters but the plot needs work I also don t enjoy it when the lead female character takes forever to get together with the man she likes It s been 4 books not and the have kissed.

    6. A very good Cozy mystery Abby Shaw the owner of a candy store in Paradise Colorado sees what she thinks is a murder and becomes tied up with her boyfriend police detective trying to solve it Liked the storyline and really enjoyed the included candy recipes.

    7. I really like characters, and the storyline I wish would have been written about her relationships with her friends and loved ones.

    8. I love the Candy Shop Mystery series I wished there had been This is a fun series with interesting characters and Sammi keeps you in suspense about the killer There are only 5 books and this one is the 4th book in the series Abby Shaw was a corporate attorney until she inherited Divinity Candy Store from her Aunt Grace in Paradise, Colorado In this book Abby witnesses a stranger being gunned down but by the time the police arrive there is no body or blood to prove what she saw A few days later [...]

    9. Once again Sammi Carter has held me captive in another one of her sweet mysteries. This book was a little slow at first, but page after page it had me hanging on for And just when I thought I finally had all the pieces together of this six degrees of murder, BAM Out of almost no where I get side blinded with another twisted tale of whodunit I particularly love the tip toe romance and she is now sharing with a certain detective and, I am also glad that the book introduced some new characters and f [...]

    10. Yum A cozy mystery series about an old school candy shop Yes please Plenty of descriptions, recipes in the back not that I ll ever be able to make them, I burn cereal given half a chance but still An interesting, diverse network of friends, old family connections and new people I loved all of these, which basically make up most of my favorite cozy mystery books. There is a neat mystery here too, and we need to go back further to uncover all the facts and motivations I really liked that element I [...]

    11. Abby runs a local candy store, one that she inherited from her aunt I haven t read the other books yet, so I was a little lost at first as to why her sister in law is such a bitch She s emotionally blackmailing Abby to be the assistant coach for two of her nephew s basketball team and she s pushing Abby to hire cousins to help in the store Personally, Abby s got a lot patience than I do, because the woman got on my last nerve All that tension wouldn t do for family peace, that s for sure. The ac [...]

    12. Since I don t normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here s the break down of how I rate my books1 star This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.2 stars This book was not very good, and I won t be reading any from the author.3 stars This book was ok, but I won t go out of my way to read , But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I d pick it up.4 stars I really enjoyed t [...]

    13. Book 5 in the Candy Shop Mysteries.I love this series and it just keeps getting better and better This book finds Abby hiring help for Divinity, coaching basketball, learning to open up to her friends, and of course dabbling in a little sleuth work in her spare time She quickly gets sucked into solving a mystery when she witnesses a strange shooting out on the highway one night The clues lead her all over town as she tries to figure out who the suspects are and how they are all tied together Sh [...]

    14. This was an extremely convoluted story There were so many new characters that it was hard to keep track I was not surprised that Kerry was behind it all he was so horrible it would have been a bigger twist had it NOT been him There were a lot of unanswered about Liberty we never did meet her boyfriend It was nice to see Abby spend time talking and gossiping with her friends about something other than murder I was surprised that Marshall made a move on her like Abby I did not see it coming This w [...]

    15. When Abby witnesses a murder, naturally she leaves to call the police Only when they return, they can t find a body Then Abby sees the victim around town What s going on This is the fourth in the series, and I thought it was the best one to date The characters are strong and the plot kept me guessing until the end.Read my full review at Carstairs Considers.

    16. Abby almost hits a man with a limp while on her way home from taking her nephews home from basketball practice He runs off towards the woods and Abby hears gunshots and the man falls to the ground When she returns with her brother and the police later, he s no where to be found and there is no trace of blood or evidence of what Abby saw. These are fun books and I m sorry to see I only have one to go in the series Wish Carter would write .

    17. I enjoyed this book the first I ve read of this series The author gave me enough background about the characters so I did not feel like I needed to read the first part of the series first and I rarely seem to be able to read a series in the right order anyway, LOL The heroine in this book at least recognized when she was getting into a risky situation and I enjoyed hearing about her candy business and small town life.

    18. I just didn t get into this book as much as I have with the previous ones for some reason The storyline worked, the relationship between Abby Pine is still going much too slow, but better than not gaining ground at all.No complaints other than The subplot with Liberty needed than just what it got the last time she was mentioned.

    19. Sammi Carter needs to work on her writing skills Her style of writing plot excluded made me feel like I was reading a book intended for a 12 yr old I do not think I will ever read a book by her again.

    20. I would actually only give this one 1.5 stars, I just learned that this series was dropped by its publisher, and after reading this one I can see why I was also surprised to learn that this is another pseudonym for Jacklyn Brady, who s Cake Shop series is slightly better.

    21. I read this one in 2 days while waitingin PT and at the dr Easy read, good story with an easy to solve mystery and the kind of ending where you want to yell at the characters because you can see them walking into the trap

    22. I agree with some of the reviews fo this one being a tad slower than the others in the series I however, like the fact that she is taking her new maybe relationship nice and slow Carter has over and over stated how hurt and betrayed our lead character feels.Good, fast reads.

    23. BAM BAM BAM Goody, Goody Gunshots Yeah What can i say This was my 2nd favorite in the series, right behind Candy Apple Dead.

    24. Candy shop murderI like this series and I love the recipes It is a quick read about a murder in a small mountain resort town.
